The Power of Gratitude and Happiness

Hello! Happy Valentines Day Everybody!

I hope you've all had a lovely day whether you have a partner to spend it with or not.

Todays post is a little different to the usual ones but I just wanted to share my love of this beautiful planner with you all. I recently purchased it online and I found the whole shopping experience so lovely, I wanted you all to see!

I ordered the dated diary and also received 2 lovely note books too! It was all beautifully wrapped in bubble wrap, inside a box, inside another box etc etc. Truly lovely shopping experience!

It is just so important to focus on the positive things in life and all the things that make you happy. I have made it a routine now to fill in my planner in the morning and evening. I write what I'm excited about, what exercise and meals I've planned for the day along with jobs and scheduled things I need to get done.

Sometimes it can be so easy to focus on the bad things that have happened in your day, you can almost forget maybe how good a day you have had. I love to look back on the day and think about all that I am grateful for. As a good friend once said to me, "There is no better feeling than gratitude - the type of gratitude that warms your tummy!" and she was so right. It's easy to say "Yes, I appreciate this/that etc" but to actually sit back and really think about how lucky you are - that feeling is so priceless.

I also remember somebody saying to me once after I told them my life was boring, to be grateful of my 'boring life' as she would trade anything for it at that moment in time. It really stuck with me and made me realise my life isn't boring at all! It's just how I want it to be and again I felt so much gratitude for it.

So, I urge you to look up the 'Happiness Planner', I will put the link for it here. It's time to really appreciate all that you have in your life, I always think that no matter how bad your day has been you can always find at least 5 good things that have happened in the day and if not, at least 5 good things that you are grateful for in life. When you think of those 5 things you can realise how lucky you are and actually your day didn't 'suck' at all!

It's now mid February, around that time all of our resolutions have dried up, the diet has gone down the pan and we feel back to our 'normal' selves again - let's break the habit! Let's all try and be super positive and happy in 2016, no matter what life throws at us, because at the end of the day (as my Aunty always says) "If you are lucky enough to live for 100 years, it is a very short time - make each day count!"

Thank you so much for reading this post, I wish you a very happy 2016! Let's make this happen...It's going to be great! ;)
