Wow! What an amazing week away with my hubster! We went for a week to Dubai (with a little trip out to Abu Dhabi too) and just completely relaxed and ate so so much food. I took sooo many pictures that I don't want to bore you all, but here are some of my highlights.
Incase you're interested, we stayed at Le Royal Meridian Beach Resort and Spa. I actually can't fault this place, it was newly refurbished and looked stunning. The staff were insanely friendly and helpful and really made our holiday 5 star. If you do get the chance to go to Dubai, do check this place out (even if it's just for their breakfasts!) It really was fab!
So, instead of just rambling on I will let the pictures to the talking this time...
Complimentary juices on arrival! Seriously delicious after a long flight and no sleep! Really woke me up ha ha!
We went for a super tasty meal at Coya in The Four Seasons Hotel on the night we arrived, this is the same brand as Roka, Zuma and the new Ruya too. We visited the one in Mayfair maybe 18 months ago, but it was no comparison to this!
Freshly made guac at the table! My kind of dining!
Artichokes
Sashimi Salmon Tacos - My Fav!
Calamari with Green Chilli
Tofu and Mushroom Kebabs
Wild Mushrooms and Tenderstem Broccoli
Dessert, highly recommended by the waiting staff. Erm... can't remember the name but had homemade berry sorbet and those crispy biscuits.... Yum!
So breakfasts at Le Royal Meridian are insane! I was warned about this too (Thanks Alice), but I could never guess how much food they put out every day! These are freshly made crepes with maple syrup. Seriously yummy! They also had an egg station so I had an omelette a couple of the days. By the end of the holiday though, I think I couldn't face anymore food ha ha!
Marble slab ice creamery! So, as I didn't want the dairy, I opted for the lime sorbet with coconut. Actually rather delicious - but not a chance I could finish it all!
Fruit for brekkie one day, plus a these little juice shots they did each day. Gave me a kick each morning, seriously missed my green juices and acai bowls though!
Chillis at Mall of The Emirates - my fav place to hang out and have a chilled meal. I LOVE Chillis and the rice bowl I ordered was one of the tastiest meals believe it or not!
Plus it's all about these chips - oh my! I literally go for these tortillas ha ha!
Tofu Salad for lunch at Wagamamma
My view most days
Cheeky lunch by the pool, I was on holiday! Pizza is allowed for lunch ha ha :op
The beach!
Thought this was so funny, one of the residents had taken his deck chair into the sea! I don't recall him floating away though ha ha!
Shake Shack - JBR
Shake Shack's 'Sroom Burger - this was like a chicken kiev but instead of chicken it was mushroom and filled with cheese! Wasn't expecting that! Rather tasty, but seriously rich!
Laduree on JBR
Macaroons!!!
Such a beautiful shop!
The most breathtaking place! The Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. Wowsers, I can't explain how stunning this place was, so much detail. Amazing!
